September was a wonderful month during which we got to know each other, and all about school, some rules, and all the exciting activities available to us. October has been a busy month with color, shape, transportation and map skill activities. Science experiments were included with the map skill activities. A paper mache globe was the highlight. | The meaning of Thanksgiving will be easier to understand after November's lessons. Carebears will learn about Pilgrims and Native Americans. They will learn about the survival skills taught to the Pilgrims by the Indians through crafts, games, stories, songs and Indian symbols. They will experience friendship and sharing with a preschool feast day during Thanksgiving week.
December will provide the children an opportunity to experience holiday celebrations from around the world. They will discover the similarities and difference between cultures. The school year will conclude with an introduction to the winter season. Maybe this introduction will bring us a few snowflakes over the holiday vacation. |
